A Christ-centered Fellowship
How to Disciple Your ChildrenWe believe parents are called to disciple their own children and have the best opportunity to do so. Deuteronomy 6 was laying out some fundamental truth about God and following His word. The responsibility was squarely given to parents to pass this truth to their children (Deut. 6:4-9). In the New Testament parents are also given the responsibility to bring their children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). The parent-child relationship is one of the best opportunities to do discipleship like Jesus did it, living daily life together.
As they watch you live life, following the Lords ways, you can explain it to them. As you discuss life on a daily basis, you should weave in the Lord and His truth. But also, we parents, should be teaching our children God's word. To help make this not so intimidating, we have put together this guide, which you can print, How to Disciple Your Children at any age. |
